Different from the Vent Thread in that this is for objects, places, works of art, people, or even ideas that you always dislike or have grown to dislike because of their negative qualities, or for no reason at all. Give your reasons, or don't.

The thing I feel that I hate most is the song "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. Why are a couple of hipsters from LA singing about some cutesy-fied down-home movie-version-of-hillbillies vision of Alabama and Arkansas? Why are they whistling through the whole song when it's a well known fact that whistling in a song is inherently terrible? The song came out in 2009, so why is it incessantly on the radio NOW? Why is it that this crap is the most popular music around? Yes, legitimately, I'd rather listen to the nonstop Ke$ha hour than this twee indie pop garbage that's replaced her, and this song is the twee-est of them all. Yuck.

People who fail at swimming in my pool. Specifically teens and adults. As an able bodied human, you should at least know how to stay afloat.

Mob mentalities.

And just people who go with what's popular for no reason other than they didn't take the fucking time to read up or learn information about a subject on their own, so they just assume that the popular vote is best vote.

If I walked into a bakery, bought a croissant, then took it outside and shared it with people for free, could the baker accuse me of stealing?

I don't hate that people do it, just that they seem to deny the fact that it directly takes money away from musicians.

Your hypothetical implies that the croissant, like Beef mentioned, would never be used up.

A better comparison would be the court case in which a human cannonball sued a news program for airing his act, claiming that it robbed him of profits because people wouldn't pay to see his act. He won his case before the supreme court because stealing.

Edit: quit ninja'ing me.

Two minutes is hardly a ninja. The croissant being infinite is kind of a hypothetical, anyway. Data is infinitely able to be reproduced at not cost, so for the metaphor to be effective we have to assume that the croissant is as well.

Not that I'm inviting further discussion, I'm just defending the integrity of my analogy.

I hate that the concept of "infinite croissant" isn't a factual thing. I'd steal one. I'd even go into a bakery and buy one. That would solve at least some of my monetary issues.

The "men" I encounter in rightist circles who first say that all women should be subservient babymakers, and in the next breath start calling me a beautiful infallible Aryan goddess. I can abide the misogyny, but not the stupidity!

I hate the people that come to school just to play for the school sports team.

I also hate girls that say, "AARGHBLGHAGH I'M SOOO FAT IN THIS PICTURE" when they're clearly not, and they're just fishing for compliments. I tend to just reply, "Yeah, you kinda do..."

On a similar note, there's this girl at school, we went out briefly in our second year of High school, and she uses her dyslexia as an excuse for everything.

"Oh noes I can't do this biology test due to my crippling dyslexia"
"AAAAAAAA I CAN'T DRIVE BECAUSE I HAVE DYSLEXIA"

Me: What's the time?
Her: I dunno, I can't read time. I'm dyslexic.
Me: I KNOW YOU ARE DYSLEXIC. WHY DO HAVE A WATCH?

I just, I can't, fucking, IDIOT

goddamn

Aren't you part Vietnamese with dark hair and eyes? I always thought Aryan was blonde hair/blue eyes and definitely not Asian.
