Yeah, I haven't been working on a lot. But here I'll post the things that I don't think you've seen yet.
This vampire-Barbie-looking thing is Valentine Red, inspired by a horror game titled The Path. The background only looks lazy if you're looking directly at it. :^U
This right here is what I lovingly refer to as 'Fluffy.png'. Only now do I realize how illogical her hair is - it looks like a wig that slumped forward. Anyway, this painting was originally based off a notebook doodle of a girl with short and extremely fluffy hair. The background, the tears, the discoloration around her eyes? Entirely an afterthought that decided to take over.
I cannot remember for the life of me whether I posted this on the old forum since I painted it so long ago, but here it is. It's of a friend of mine, who's been a real inspiration to me. Not much else to say about it.
The last is technically excellent, though I can't help but feel the air filter detracts somewhat- the face is where you look for "the mind's construction" so to speak and hiding it makes it harder to interpret, certainly with the ambiguous pose.
Well I know the pain of drawing Fluffies- I always found that where I constructed people from basic shapes, hair became something of an afterthought. I traced a bunch of faces from hairdresser websites and things by way of practice. The rest is very well put together.
That second picture is really creepy. Its probably the eyes and the organic things in the background.
Good to hear. After I finished coloring the eye area, I decided that what I wanted to do was make a painting that could be classed as "horror" while avoiding the usual cliches and just making things unsettling.
Why was I thinking that was a girl?! All the pics seemed like a girl! Waaaht?
He really does look like a girl, though. Can't help that. <_<
I've been working on some graphics for MY TUMBLR. Basically writing down some quotations that matter to me. I can't relate to the typical blather about love and 'living life', because I'm a zombie, so...
