BC taking the joke, smashing its face in with a brick, dissecting the torso, removing all the key organs, injecting them with latex to preserve them, putting them on display in clearly labelled glass cases on his lawn, then rearranging the remaining flesh into a sculpture in the likeness of a horse and beating it with a nail studded 2x4 ceaselessly until he dies of starvation.

Also he really shouldn't be the deciding factor here.

I'm probably just personally biased from this whole incident

Quote:
“We’ve reached a state now where it’s, ‘You shouldn’t notice. Why are you noticing he’s got a bomb and has a beard and is Muslim and wants to kill your family?”

"If all of a sudden all the traffic wardens in Ghana were Welsh, they’d really notice and might not love it? We give ourselves a hard time in this country in a sort of mea culpa way. But if we were that racist, people wouldn’t come. Very simple."

“Multiculturalism hasn’t and doesn’t help, because rightly or wrongly it polarises people so much,”

“But now it’s *****, *****, *****"

It's cool that trying to start a new topic of conversation reignites a conversation that's almost a week old

Went to see "The Great Gatsby" the other day. Brilliant film, somewhat let down by the explicit 2010s crassness of the soundtrack, but quite a spectacle nonetheless. A great concentration of the interpersonal drama of the novel, perhaps less of the social commentary. I'd recommend it.

It's fantastic, yea. 2012 was a great year for movies, and it was really up there for me.

I guess I went in expecting a horror movie and was kinda disappointed and a little annoyed I got a comedy about "hurr hurr all horror movies are the same insert meta-joke here" instead.

It wasn't really a smarmy hate letter to horror movies, just a fun play on the circumstances.

The material itself, the scenario at least, isn't as remarkable as some people would have you believe, but I just adore how well they handled everything. The whole package could have been underwhelming or pretentious or obnoxious in a million ways, but they play both sides of the story just right to feel like a single cohesive story. Script is great fun, everything moves along giving the viewer new thrills and laughs and feeding you information steadily enough to keep you interested, that sort of thing. No excess, no dead weight or underdeveloped ideas, just a really well rounded, well conceived romp through a silly hypothetical.

It was basically just a comedy.

A better version of Scary Movie.

I would have said it was a worse version of Scream, but yeah.

Scream had neither the fun characters, the actual funny moments, nor the overall quality of writing of Cabin. It also devolved into **** really quickly, as always happens when you make a horror movie into a series.

I disagree with both of those comparisons but I feel like I've already stated my opinion thoroughly enough that argument is just beating the horse.
