This would be the place where everybody discusses role-playing related stuff, such as suggestions for games and conversation about ongoing games.

YO, TT.
How y'all doing tonight?
Anyway, we (I) had the idea that we should have a D&D thing going on. We could do it over Skype. It probably wouldn't be SOOPER SERIUS because it's us.

3rd gen (3.5), because fuck your fourth gen shit.
Let me/us/whoever know if you're interested in this. All the materials you need are online, really.

Whoever our DM is can find the Dungeon Master's Guide on /rs/.

We could do all kinds of RPGs. My dad left a bunch of rpg guides when he moved out. star wars, rift, wow, a bunch of others. there might be some d&d in there too.

That would actually be pretty cool. I have almost all of the 3.5 books in pdf format already, and I agree with the 4th Gen statement.
Giggres has a good point, too. I think it would be almost criminal not to get a Call of Cthulhu game going up in this bitch.

Yea, I've/we've discussed a CoC game before in and out of the irc, and Ren was talking about moderating it because she has the rulebooks or something. It would be a lot of fun.

Yeah, apparently Ren has the physical rulebooks instead of some pdf's and she has experience running CoC games, so when she's ready (which apparently means getting a new keyboard), she'll be made a Storyteller.

The only actual rulebook I have for anything is the d20 version of Call of Cthulhu.

Books is expensive, yo.

I have a bunch of 3.5 D&D books.
I THINK I have:
Dungeon Master's Guide
Player's Handbook
Monster Encyclopedia
Complete Warrior
Complete Spellcaster
...And maybe something else, I'm not sure. I'll check when I go home this weekend.

I have pdf's for the Vampire: the Masquerade rulebook and the Storyteller's Guide for that game as well. Too bad they're stuck on my old, broken computer.

That would indeed be sweet Ches/Vaughn.

Man, let's get something started. This stuff sounds exciting!

I'm so glad I found fans of VtM instead of that damn Vampire: the Requiem. Stupid World of Darkness reboot.

Well, some of the reboot is stupid. It improved other games.

Unfortunately, yes. It's a little heartbreaking.

I can run a CoC game as soon as I get off my ass and write/find an adventure.

Has anyone ever heard of the GUMSHOE rpg system? They have a lot of books geared towards horror stuff. I remember listening to a podcast one time where these dudes all made a Slenderman campaign using the 'Fear Itself' book. It was actually really cool.

Learning a whole new system and whatnot would be a pain in the ass though. The creepypasta-slenderman connection is what made me think of the game.

I'm going to have to learn a new system regardless of what we do, so IDC as long as someone knows what they're doing in that particular game.

I think I know what one you're talking about, Carnage. I never finished listening to that one, actually. But I did listen to their Candle Cove game (done using the new World of Darkness system). It is unusual and about six hours long, but I think it's worth a listen. Here are some links to those:

Candle Cove.
Slender Man.

As for RPPR itself, they have a lot of CoC stuff with quite a few things for Delta Green.

Ah, exactly! I found my way to RPPR through Ichor Falls and was like 'lolwut creepypasta rpgs?'
I'm trying to hunt down a copy of Delta Green that's relatively inexpensive before they all fall off of the face of the internet.
